WHO: Bombing tents sheltering displaced in Rafah “outrageous and unspeakable”

Geneva, SANA- Reports of an Israeli bombing of tents for displaced people in the city of Rafah, southern Gaza Strip “are outrageous and unspeakable,” Head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, calling once again for a ceasefire in the Strip.

“Reports that tents housing displaced people in Rafah were bombed, resulting in dozens of casualties and injuries, including children, are outrageous and unspeakable,” Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on his account on the X platform.

Ghebreyesus added that “among the victims were two health workers,” stressing that health workers and civilians are not military targets and must be protected at all times., calling on the Israeli occupation entity to cease fire in Gaza.
